IGNITION COILS - SET 12. Fit ignition coil to mounting bracket and secure

Service repair no - 18.20.45 13. Fit leads to terminals and secure with nuts.

  1. Connect coil multiplug and secure to mounting
  2. Connect h.t. leads to ignition coils and fit
  3. Reconnect battery negative lead.
  4. Noting their fitted positions, disconnect 8 h.t. leads from ignition coils.
  5. Move leads aside.
  6. Disconnect coil multiplug and release from mounting bracket.
  7. Remove 4 nuts securing coil mounting bracket to engine.
  8. Remove coils and mounting bracket assembly. Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only.

  1. Remove terminal cover and note lead positions.
  2. Remove 2 nuts securing leads to coil terminals.
  3. Remove leads from terminals.
  4. Remove 3 Torx screws securing ignition coil to mounting bracket.
  5. Remove ignition coil.
