Park Function

A feed from fuse 3 of the passenger compartment fusebox (582-10) is connected to the windscreen wiper motor (C030-1) park switch by a light green wire. This feed is live with the ignition in position II. The contacts of the park switch are closed with the wipers in any position other than the park position.

When the windscreen wipers are selected off, the feed passes from the motor park switch (C030-4) and is connected to the CCU (C430-1) by a brown and light green wire. The feed is connected to the normally closed side of the front wiper relay contacts and passes through the relay, from the CCU (C430-8) and is connected by a light green and pink wire to the windscreen wash/wipe switch (C035-7). The feed passes through the switch contacts and from the switch (C035-4) is connected to the slow speed wiper motor windings by a blue and light green wire. The motor is earthed on a black wire from the motor (C030-2) to an earth header joint (C018-2).

The wipers operate until the park position reached. The park switch opens and the supply to the windscreen wiper motor is cut.

Front Wash/Wipe Function

A feed from fuse 3 of the passenger compartment fusebox (C580-16) is connected to the windscreen wash/wipe switch (C035-1) by a light green wire. When the wash/wipe switch is operated, the feed passes through the switch windscreen washer switch (C035-8) and is connected a header joint (C286-14). A feed from the header joint (C286-15) is connected by a light green and black wire to the CCU (C428-2). This feed signals the CCU to operate the windscreen wiper motor after a short delay.

A second feed from the header joint (C286-16) is connected by a light green and black wire to the windscreen washer pump (C008-1). The windscreen washer pump operates for as long as the switch is operated. The pump (C008-2) is earthed on a black wire to an earth header joint (C018-2).
