FOG LIGHTS - Description

Description

The vehicle has two additional fog lights in the light clusters.

The fog lights are activated through a button in the centre panel; an LED in the back of the button also lights up when these lights are on.

A special relay, in the engine compartment control unit, controls the switching on of the fog lights via a line protected by a special fuse.

The relay is managed by the Body Computer: the relay is energized in the following conditions:

• go ahead signal with key in ON position (INT);
• signal from the switch in the panel;
• side lights on signal.
• no main beam headlamps signal

If the main beam headlamps [EL2012] are switched on, then the fog lights are temporarily switched off.

In addition, if the side lights are switched off, the fog lights are also switched off even if the button is pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the fog lights come on again.

If the ignition key is switched OFF and then turned back to the ON position, the operating button must be pressed once again in order to turn the fog lights back on.

3.2 V6 · GTA, Xenon headlamps

A special relay, in the relay junction unit, controls the switching on of the fog lights via a line protected by a special fuse for the engine compartment junction unit.

The relay is managed by the Body Computer: the relay is energized in the following conditions:

• go ahead signal with key in ON position (INT);
• signal from the switch in the panel;
• side lights on signal.
• no main beam headlamps signal

In addition, if the side lights are switched off, the fog lights are also switched off even if the button is pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the fog lights come on again.

If the main beam headlamps are switched on See E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS, the fog lights are temporarily switched off.
