Operation 1040B32 · FUEL SUPPLY/RETURN CIRCUIT PIPE

1.4 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

1. Undo protective cap (1a) for the fuel manifold pipe and use tool (1b) to discharge the pressure from the fuel system.

Collect the fuel that comes out in a suitable container.

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

Op. 7055B80 UNDERBODY SIDE PROTECTION (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

1. Disconnect the quick coupling for the front fuel delivery pipe and open the retaining clips.

1. Disconnect the quick coupling, open the clips and remove the front fuel delivery pipe.

Refitting

- Place the front fuel delivery pipe in its housing, close the clips and connect the quick couplings.

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 8v, 1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

Op. 7055B80 UNDERBODY SIDE PROTECTION (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

1. Disconnect the quick coupling for the front fuel delivery pipe, tank side.

2. Open the front fuel delivery pipe retaining clips.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

Op. 1044B10 FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY - R + R OR REPLACE

Op. 1008B10 POWER UNIT FRONT SUPPORT FLEXIBLE MOUNTING (TIMING SIDE) - REPLACE

1. Open the retaining clips and remove the front fuel delivery pipe.

Refitting

- Place the fuel delivery pipe in its housing and secure it using the retaining clips in the engine compartment.

Op. 1008B10 POWER UNIT FRONT SUPPORT FLEXIBLE MOUNTING (TIMING SIDE) - REPLACE

Op. 1044B10 FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY - R + R OR REPLACE

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

- Connect the quick coupling for the front fuel delivery pipe, tank side, and close the retaining clips.

Op. 7055B80 UNDERBODY SIDE PROTECTION (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

1.4 16v TJet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Open the fuse box cover in the engine compartment, remove fuse F21 (15A) and start the engine several times until the fuel pressure in the distribution manifold is expended.

- Fit the fuse removed previously and close the fuse box cover.

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

1. Disconnect the quick coupling for the front fuel supply pipe, pressure regulator side.

1. Unscrew the bolts and remove the protection for the fuel and fuel vapour pipes.

2. Release the front fuel supply pipe from the fastening clips in the engine compartment.

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

1. Disconnect the quick coupling for the front fuel supply pipe, tank side.

- Release the front fuel supply pipe from the fastening clips, and remove.

Refitting

- Refit the front fuel supply pipe and secure it using the retaining clips.

- Connect the quick coupling for the front fuel supply pipe, tank side.

Op. 1040E22 FUEL PIPE PROTECTION - R.R

- Secure the front fuel supply pipe in the engine compartment using the retaining clips.

- Refit the protection for the fuel and fuel vapour pipes and tighten the bolts.

- Connect the quick coupling for the front fuel supply pipe, pressure regulator side.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
