- Removing-refitting (1747 16v)
The hydraulic jack should have a capacity of at least 1000 kg and be a suitable height to allow the subsequent removal of the power unit downwards; with this in mind it is necessary to take into consideration the maximum height which can be reached by the lift and the minimum height which can be reached by the hydraulic jack.
- Remove the bolts fixing the centre power unit support to the front cross member.
- Remove the bolts fixing the power unit side supports to the bodyshell.
- Remove the gearbox side support to make the descent of the power unit easier.
When refitting this support, to prevent the creation of tension on the gearbox support planes with the consequent distortion and loss of oil, stick scrupulously to the cycle for tightening the fixing bolts given below:
- Tighten the bolts (1) and (2) to a pre-torque of 0.5 daNm;
- Tighten the bolts (3) and (4) to a pre-torque of 0.5 daNm, then tighten them to the recommended torque;
- Tighten the bolts (1) and (2) to the recommended torque.
- Lower the hydraulic jack and extract the power unit from the lower part of the vehicle.
Lower the hydraulic jack gradually and check that the power unit is correctly positioned and balanced on the supporting tool.
- Position the power unit on the support using a hydraulic crane.
Do not move the power unit installed on the hydraulic jack. To move the power unit use a hydraulic crane fitted with tools 1860592000 after having previously released it from the supporting tool.
