2. Check

CAUTION : Surface grinding of the engine block is prohibited if the piston protrusion exceeds the recommended value.

CAUTION : Grind all the main bearing and big end bearing journals to the same existing repair dimension (In the event of wear).

Check :

  • Flatness of the contact plane of the cylinder block
  • There are no traces of seizing or wear in the cylinders (Correct if necessary : Refer to the specification)
  • The diameters of the main and big end bearing diameters

3. Refitting

CAUTION : When refitting, the following should always be renewed : The circlips; The washers; The seals; The bolts with thread lock.
