Removal.

Proceed as follows:

1. Disconnect the battery's negative terminal. Disconnect both electrical connections, in two stages:
   • rotate the metal hook upwards to release the connection;
   • move the connector vertically away from the control unit.
2. Undo the nuts fixing the control unit bracket and remove it.
3. Undo the earth lead fixing bolt; Undo the fixing bolts and remove the control unit.

Refitting

Refit by carrying out removal procedure in reverse order: proceed as follows to refit the connector:

• move the connector into contact with the control unit;
• rotate the metal hook until it closes fully.

4. Disconnect the electrical connection, then undo the fixing bolt and remove the sensor.
