Refitting

• Assemble the engine temperature sensor and tighten to the correct torque

To avoid damage to the sensor when re-assembling:
- make sure the wrench is perfectly centred on the fastening hex head;
- do not exceed the specified torque.

• Connect the electrical connection of the engine temperature sensor

• Complete with Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R+R.
• Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

• Fill the engine cooling system with coolant

• Remove the body protection cover.
• Close the engine compartment.
• Remove the vehicle from the hoist.

1056A56 - ENGINE IDLE SELF REGULATION MOTOR - R+R

Removal

• Open the engine compartment.
• Assemble the body protection covers.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Follow Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R.R.

1. Take out the fuel return pipe from the throttle case.

Plug the pipe as soon as it is removed to avoid fuel spillage.

2. Unscrew screws (2a) that fasten the idle actuator (2b) and remove.

Note: Whenever the idle actuator fastening screws are loosened or removed, they are to be replaced, since the thread is covered with a slight film of Loctite®, that ensures locking once only.
