For each family, a detailed index makes it possible to determine the symptom reported, possibly with a precise condition, namely, a circumstance in driving or behaviour of the car in which the fault is more evident (e.g. only with engine cold, only when cornering, only only when braking, etc.).

After the interview with the customer and/or road test the symptom is more clearly specified and therefore it will be possible to consult the index of the symptoms concerning each family of symptoms.

In fact, for each symptom there is a special diagnosis table in which the symptom is described in the first lines of the heading. Consulting the heading of the different tables makes it possible to confirm the choice of the symptom or not. The heading also contains some preliminary checks to be considered before starting the diagnosis procedure.
