FUNCTIONS
The separate functions are described and include this information.
Description
At the beginning of each function or operation there is a general description of the installation / system that explains the purpose of the circuit or system and describes the operation, with any control or intervention logic: it is most important to fully understand the correct operation so as to be able to identify any fault and act accordingly.
| Ref. | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Direct power supply |
| 2 | Ignition switch power supply (not startup) |
| 3 | Ignition switch power supply |
This set-up follows the "flow" of the current and the signals, starting from the power supply (always at the top) passing through the components and arriving to earth at the bottom.
The power supply is indicated schematically with different symbols according to the type of line, always live (connected directly to the battery) or "ignition switch power supply" (the first section ("Power supply") describes in detail the power supplies of all the lines and the operation of the ignition switch.)
On the diagrams the components are indicated with a specific code (a letter and a number): if the connections of a single component are more than one, these components are identified by an additional letter in a box.
For the main components the schematic indication of the position as to the connectors on the components are also indicated on the diagram.
Electrical diagram
These are prepared following the circuit operation, so as to facilitate understanding and as a consequence a faster identification of a failure.
