Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

1. Undo the nuts securing the catalytic converter to the central flexible section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Remove the gasket from its seat.

1.9 JTD 8v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

1. Undo the nuts securing the pipe to the flexible section.

2. Lower the exhaust pipe flexible section and remove the gasket from its seating.

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

1. Undo the nuts securing the pipe to the rear section.

2. Lower the exhaust pipe flexible section and remove the gasket from its seating.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Fit the gasket into its seat on the catalytic converter.

Tighten the nuts securing the catalytic converter to the central flexible section of the hose pipe.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 8v

Refitting

Fit the gasket in its seating on the flexible section.

Tighten the bolts securing the pipe to the flexible section.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the gasket in its seating on the flexible section.

Tighten the bolts securing the pipe to the rear section.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.
