1.2 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 1076B18 rigid section of exhaust pipe between catalytic converter and silencer - r + r

1. Drill out the heat shield retaining rivets.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the front fixing clips (2b).

3. Remove the front heat shield.

1.4 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp

- 1076B18 rigid section of exhaust pipe between catalytic converter and silencer - r + r

1. Drill out the heat shield retaining rivets.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the front retaining clips (2b).

3. Remove the front heat shield.

1.6 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 1076B26 intermediate exhaust silencer - r+r emission control versions

1. Drill out the heat shield retaining rivets.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the front retaining clips (2b).

3. Remove the front heat shield.

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

1. Drill out the heat shield retaining rivets.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the front fixing clips (2b).

3. Remove the front heat shield.

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 1080B62 catalytic converter - r + r

- 1076A48 catalytic converter heat shield - r r

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.9 JTD 8v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 1076B42 CENTRE EXHAUST PIPE COMPLETE WITH: FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR - TORQUE CONVERTER AND CENTRE SILENCER -R.R.

- 1076A48 catalytic converter heat shield - r r

1. Undo the bolt fixing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

Removing

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodywork.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.4 16v

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodywork.

2. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the rigid pipe.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.6 16v

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodywork.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.8 16v

1. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

2.4 20v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

1.2 16v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

1.4 16v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

1.6 16v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic shield (1c).

1.8 16v

1. Undo the nuts (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the rear left plastic guard (1c).

2.4 20v

1. Remove the retaining springs (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Remove the retaining clips (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Remove the retaining clips (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.2 16v

1. Remove the retaining springs (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.4 16v

1. Remove the retaining clips (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.6 16v

1. Remove the retaining clips (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

1.8 16v

1. Remove the retaining springs (1a), undo the bolts (1b) and remove the rear heat shield (1c).

2.4 20v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, securing it to the flexible supports.

- 1080B62 catalytic converter - r + r

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 8v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, securing it to the flexible supports.

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and secure it to the flexible mountings.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.2 16v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, securing it to the flexible supports.

Place the front heat shield back in its seating and secure it using new rivets.

Tighten the fixing bolts and fit the front clips.

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.4 16v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and secure it to the flexible mountings.

Place the front heat shield back in its seating and secure it using new rivets.

Tighten the fixing bolts and fit the front clips.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and screws.

Fit the rear left plastic protection and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and secure it to the flexible mountings.

Place the front heat shield back in its seating and secure it using new rivets.

Tighten the fixing bolts and fit the front clips.

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.8 16v

Refitting

Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and fasten it using the clips and bolts.

Fit the rear left plastic guard and tighten the bolts.

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, securing it to the flexible supports.

Place the front heat shield back in its seating and secure it using new rivets.

Tighten the fixing bolts and fit the front clips.
