Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the central section.

2. Remove the rubber blocks (2a) from the fixing pins (2b).

3. Undo the nuts securing the central section to the front section of the exhaust pipe.

4. Undo the bolts securing the central flexible block to the bodyshell.

5. Remove the catalytic converter complete with front exhaust silencer.

Removing

- 1076B44 CENTRE EXHAUST PIPE COMPLETE WITH FLEXIBLE CONNECTOR: CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND CENTRE SILENCER - DISMANTLING AND REASSEMBLY AT THE BENCH

2.4 20v

Refitting

Fit the catalytic converter complete with front exhaust silencer.

Tighten the bolts securing the central flexible block to the bodyshell.

Tighten to torque the nuts securing the flexible section to the front section of the exhaust pipe.

Secure the rubber blocks to the pipe fixing pins.

Connect the rear silencer to the intermediate silencer pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

Lower the lift.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
