Engine oil vapour separator - r + r

Operation 1080D34 · Crankcase vapour/gas recirculation system

1.6 16v

Removing

Place the vehicle on a ramp.

- 1084A22 engine oil filler - r r

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and move the cable protection (1b).

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

1. Disconnect the pipes from the engine oil vapour separator.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the oil vapour separator (1b).

Undo the bolt fixing the mounting bracket to the head and to the cylinder block/crankcase.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the oil vapour separator to the mounting bracket.

2. Disconnect the sump oil return pipe from the separator.

3. Remove the separator.

Refitting

Place the oil vapour separator back in its housing and fix it using the bolts.

Place the cable protection back in its housing and secure it using the nuts.

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the oil vapour separator on the bracket and tighten the fixing bolts.

Tighten the bolt fixing the mounting bracket for the separator to the bodyshell.

Connect the engine oil vapour separator pipes.
