Removing

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

1. Disconnect the oil vapour recirculation pipes from the engine oil filler.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and withdraw the engine oil filler from its seating (2b).

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Open the band and disconnect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe from the engine oil filler.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Place the engine oil filler back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

Connect the oil vapour recirculation pipe to the engine oil filler.

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the engine oil filler (1b).

2. Remove the gasket.

Refitting

Fit the engine oil filler complete with gasket and secure it tightening the bolts.

Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe to the engine oil filler.

Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Connect the battery negative terminal.
