Removing

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the sound insulation cover (1b).

1.9 JTD 8v

Removing

1. Remove the engine oil filler cap.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove soundproofing cover (2b).

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Open the bonnet lid.

1. Undo the bolts.

2. Remove the sound insulation cover fastened to the camshaft housing.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Place the sound insulation cover in position and tighten the fixing bolts.

1.9 JTD 8v

Refitting

Fit the soundproofing cover in the housing on the cylinder head.

Tighten the bolts fixing the soundproofing cover.

Tighten the engine oil filler cap.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the sound insulation cover and tighten the fixing bolts.

Close the bonnet lid.
