Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

- 1072C44 exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the right Lambda sensor.

2. Release the electrical wiring for the right Lambda sensor from the fastening.

3. Undo and remove the right Lambda sensor.

2.4 20v

Removing

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

1. Unscrew the retaining nuts.

2. Remove the lower heat shield for the catalytic preconverter.

Refitting

Place the right Lambda sensor back in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Secure the electrical wiring for the right Lambda sensor to the fastening.

Connect the electrical connection for the right Lambda sensor.

- 1072C44 exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

Remove the car from the ramp.

2.4 20v

1. Disconnect the electrical connection (1a), then undo and remove the right Lambda sensor (1b).

Refitting

Fit the front Lambda probe and tighten it on the precatalyzer.

Connect the electrical connection for the Lambda sensor.

Fit the lower catalytic preconverter heat shield and tighten the relevant retaining nuts.

Connect the battery negative terminal.
