1.2 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the rigid section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.4 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the rigid section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodywork.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.6 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the rigid section.

2. Undo the bolt fixing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.8 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the rigid section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

2.4 20v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the front section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.9 JTD 8v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the front section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodyshell.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the front section.

2. Undo the bolt securing the flexible support to the bodywork.

3. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.2 16v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the rigid pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

1.4 16v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the rigid pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, and tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the rigid pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

1.8 16v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the rigid pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer, tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the intermediate silencer pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

1.9 JTD 8v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the intermediate silencer pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer and tighten the bolt securing the rubber block to the bodyshell.

Connect the rear silencer to the intermediate silencer pipe and tighten the coupling collar nut to torque.
