Continue to Step 1

Level above Max reference

Reduce to Max level

Continue to Step 2

1CHECK FOR OIL LEAKSAll OKProblems metOperation
Check that there are no oil leaks See Test 2127C CHECK FOR FLUID LEAKSContinue to Step 2Oil leaks detected

Replace/repair the relevant parts, top up the oil

Continue to Step 1

2OIL PRESSURE CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation
Check the oil pressure See Test 2127D OIL PRESSURE CHECKContinue to Step 4Pressure < 40 barContinue to Step 3
3CHECK PUMP OPERATIONAll OKProblems metOperation
Check that the pump is working properly See Test 2127E ELECTRIC PUMP OPERATION CHECKContinue to Step 4Voltage below 11 V

Check the battery

Continue to Step 3

It is not possible to carry out gear changes from the lever

Activate the 'clutch bleed' service from the Examiner Plus or Smart to activate the pump

Continue to Step 3

4CONTROL UNIT ERRORS CHECKAll OKProblems metOperation

Check that there are no control unit errors. In particular:

  • Brake switch error
  • Clutch sensor error
  • Control unit faulty error (microprocessor)
  • Even gear engagement error
  • Odd gear engagement error
  • Clutch solenoid valve current error
  • Electromagnetic brake error (Selection solenoid)
  • Control unit earth error
  • Load relay error

If there is a brake switch error, the recovery considers the brake to be constantly pressed with the engine running; this means that only changes to lower gears can take place in automatic mode

Continue to Step 7Presence of one or more of the errors included in the listContinue to Step 5
5CHECKS ON FAULTS DETECTEDAll OKProblems metOperation
Check the faults See Test 2127I What to do depending on the error' present in the Selespeed control unit No accelerator pedal information.End of diagnosisFaulty connections (Clutch sensor, Odd or even gear engagement, Clutch solenoid current, Electromagnetic brake, Control unit earth error and/or Load relay error)

Restore/replace the wiring

Continue to Step 6

The change of state does not take place (brake switch)

Check the brake pedal switch, its attachment and the state of the wiring connections. Restore correct operation

Continue to Step 6

There are no faulty connections (Clutch sensor)

Replace the clutch actuator (CSC) and check its operation by carrying out a gear change.

Continue to Step 6

The test is not successful (Odd or even gear engagement)

Replace the solenoid valve Op. 2127C52

Continue to Step 6

There are no faulty connections (Clutch solenoid current)

Replace the solenoid valve Op. 2127C56

Continue to Step 6

7CHECK THE CLUTCH DISC SPEED SENSORAll OKProblems metOperation
Check the clutch disc speed signal See Test 2127A Check on operation of clutch plate speed sensor through road testContinue to Step 11There are problems with the sensor signalContinue to Step 8
8CHECK THE STATE OF THE CONNECTIONSAll OKProblems metOperation

Check the state of the connections and wiring of the speed sensor.

Remember that this sensor is on the gearbox bellhousing near the reversing lights sensor

Continue to Step 9There are faults detected

Repair/replace the part that is not working

Continue to Step 10

Sometimes, for a few seconds no gear can be engaged from the lever

Failed engagement of reverse gear and/or neutral

It is not possible to request a gear change using the lever (gear suggestion)
