Electric fuel pump - ’d’ series

6. Remove 6 nuts securing fuel pump housing to fuel tank.
7. Release fuel pump housing from fuel tank.
8. Remove fuel pump housing from fuel tank.
9. Remove seal from fuel pump housing.

Refit

1. Clean mating face of fuel pump housing and fuel tank.
2. Clean seal and fit to fuel pump housing.
3. Fit fuel pump housing to fuel tank.
4. Fit nuts securing fuel pump housing to fuel tank and tighten to 9 Nm.
5. Position breather valve to mounting bracket, fit nut and tighten to 9 Nm.
6. Connect fuel return hose to fuel pump and secure with clip.
7. Connect fuel feed hose to fuel pump.
8. Secure fuel pump harness to clip on tank.
9. Refit fuel tank assembly. See this section.

ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP - ’D’ SERIES

Service repair no - 19.45.08

Remove

1. Remove fuel tank. See this section.

2. Release cover and disconnect multiplug from fuel pump.
3. Release clip and disconnect fuel return hose from fuel pump.
4. Release retainer and remove fuel feed hose from pump.
5. Remove and discard retainer.

CAUTION: Take care not to damage pipe.

6. Remove nut securing breather valve to mounting bracket and position aside.
7. Remove 6 nuts securing fuel pump to fuel tank.
8. Release and remove fuel pump.
9. Remove seal from fuel pump housing.
