VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR - ’T’ SERIES

Service repair no - 88.30.14

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Vehicle speed sensor - ’t’ series – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Disconnect multiplug from sensor.
  2. Remove bolt securing speedometer drive pinion housing to gearbox.
  3. Release speedometer drive pinion housing from gearbox.
  4. Remove speedometer drive pinion housing.
Vehicle speed sensor - ’t’ series – Remove speedometer drive pinion housing.
  1. Remove and discard ’O’ ring from speedometer drive pinion housing.
  2. Remove sensor.

Refit

  1. Clean sensor to speedometer drive pinion housing mating faces.
  2. Fit and tighten sensor to speedometer drive pinion housing.
  3. Clean mating faces of gearbox and speedometer drive pinion housing.
  4. Lubricate NEW ’O’ ring with gearbox oil and fit to speedometer drive pinion housing.
  5. Fit speedometer drive pinion housing to gearbox and align fixture hole.
  6. Fit bolt securing speedometer drive pinion housing to gearbox and tighten to 9 Nm.
  7. Connect multiplug to vehicle speed sensor.
  8. Connect battery earth lead.
