Compression, Check  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove spark plugs - see operation "Spark Plugs, Remove and Install (up to MY '98)" or "Spark Plugs, Remove and Install (as of MY '98)"..  

Release wiring harness plug (1) in direction of arrow and detach from fuel injection pump control unit.  

Use a compression recorder with a measurement range from 10 up to 40 bar in conjunction with Adapter KM-533-2 and Connector KM-928. Bolt Connector KM-928 into spark plug bore.  

Object Number: 616196  Size: DEFAULT  Inspect   

Actuate starter for approx. 4 seconds - min. engine speed 150 rpm.  

The pressure difference between the individual cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Unscrew Connector KM-928 from glow plug bore, remove Adapter KM-533-2 and compression recorder.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Connect wiring harness plug to injection pump control unit.  

Install glow plugs - see operation "Glow Plugs, Remove and Install (up to MY '98)" or "Glow Plugs, Remove and Install (as of MY '98)".
