6. Remove the thermostat housing by-pass hose. Plug the open ends.

7. Remove the following:
  • Fuel rail temperature sender wiring harness plug
  • Fuel rail pressure sensor wiring harness plug
  • Injector wiring harness plugs

⚠ Warning ⚠
If the fuel system is pressurised, fuel will be released and may contaminate eyes and / or skin.

8. Remove the fuel rails and injectors.
  1. Remove bolts (x6) that secure the fuel rails.
  2. Withdraw the fuel rails sufficiently to remove the injectors.
  3. Discard the injector ‘O’ rings.
