Carry out the sunroof electronic control unit initialisation procedure

, checking to see that the roof moves.

Check the following, in order:

• sunroof supply fuse;
• sunroof supply relay;
• sunroof electronic control unit;
• connection between sunroof relay, fuse and electronic control unit

• correct power supply to the motor.

1. Connections not correct

2. Component defective

3. Electronic control unit not operating

4. The motor is not correctly supplied.

1. Repair the connections

2. Replace the component involved (in the case of a fuse, find out what caused it to blow).

3. Replace the electronic control unit

Op. 7030B66 SUN-ROOF MOVEMENT ECU - R+R

4. Supply the motor directly from the battery bypassing the Body Computer (the cable terminals must be firmly secured to the battery poles). The battery must be charged to >= 13 Volt. Replace the motor if it does not work.

Op. 7030B70 SUN ROOF MOVEMENT MOTOR - R+R

Replace the control selector.

Op. 7030B64 SUN ROOF CONTROL SWITCH - R+R

1. Incorrect effort (more than 100 Nm)

2. Incorrect effort (between 70 and 100 Nm)

1. Move on to Step 4

2. Roll the roof by hand.

Check the operation of the sun roof operating motor:

In particular, check:

• motor pinion status;
• sunroof power supply relay control rack status;

Replace the motor

1. Remove any foreign bodies.2. Replace the frame assembly.
