1.9 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1032D12 TIMING SYSTEM PROTECTIVE COVER(S) - R + R

Op. 1088D24 WATER PUMP RIGID COOLANT INLET PIPE - R.R.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) fixing the engine oil dipstick pipe (1b) to the engine crankcase sump and remove.

Refitting

- Place the engine oil dipstick tube back in its housing and fasten it with the bolt.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.3 Multijet

Removing

1. Release the engine oil dipstick.

2. Release the bolt (2a) and remove the engine oil dipstick tube (2b) after having released the band from the electrical wiring.

Refitting

- Place the engine oil dipstick pipe back in its housing and fasten it with the bolt.

- Secure the electrical wiring using the band to the engine oil dipstick tube.

- Place the engine oil dipstick back in its housing.

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v

Removing

1. Release the wiring retaining clip from the bracket for the engine oil dipstick upper tube.

2. Release the engine oil dipstick (2a), undo the bolt (2b) and remove the engine oil dipstick upper tube (2c) complete with gasket.

Use suitable pliers along the actual tube axis for the removal of the engine oil dipstick upper tube.

The lower engine oil dipstick tube is fitted in the engine block.

Refitting

- Place the engine oil dipstick upper tube, complete with new gasket, in its housing and secure it to the camshaft using using the bolt.

- Attach the wiring retaining clip and place the engine oil dipstick in its housing.

Check the seal of the connection for the engine oil dipstick tubes.
