Water pump rigid coolant inlet pipe - r.r.

Op. 1032D12 TIMING SYSTEM PROTECTIVE COVER(S) - R + R

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the hose from the coolant return pipe from the engine oil heat exchanger.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the hose from the coolant return pipe from the E.G.R. exhaust gas heat exchanger.

3. Undo the oil dipstick tube retaining bolt.

4. Undo the bolt fixing the rigid pipe to the cylinder head.

5. Loosen the band and disconnect the hose from the rigid pipe.

6. Undo the bolts fixing the rigid pipe to the cylinder head, timing side.

7. Remove the rigid pipe and seal.

WATER PUMP RIGID COOLANT INLET PIPE - R.R.

Refitting

- Fit the rigid pipe and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the hose to the rigid pipe.

- Tighten the oil dipstick tube retaining bolt.

- Connect the hose from the coolant return pipe from the E.G.R. exhaust gas heat exchanger.

- Connect the hose from the coolant return pipe from the engine oil heat exchanger.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

1. Loosen the bands and disconnect the sleeve from the water pump rigid inlet pipe.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the water pump inlet pipe (2b).

- Remove the gasket.

Refitting

- Place the water pump rigid inlet pipe, complete with gasket, in position and secure it using the bolt.

- Connect the sleeves to the water pump rigid inlet pipe.

Op. 1088D53 ENGINE OIL HEAT EXCHANGER RIGID SUPPLY OR RETURN PIPES - R.R.

Op. 1088C40 THERMOSTAT- R + R

1. Undo the bolts securing the rigid pipe to the cylinder block/crankcase.

1. Undo the bolt (1a), loosen collar (1b) and remove the rigid coolant inlet pipe to the water pump (1c) complete with O-Ring.

Refitting

- Place the water pump rigid inlet pipe, complete with O-ring in position and secure it with the bolt and collar.

- Tighten the bolts securing the rigid pipe to the cylinder block/crankcase.

Removing

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the hose from the water pump rigid inlet pipe.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the water pump inlet pipe (2b).

3. Remove the seal.

Refitting

- Place the water pump rigid inlet pipe, complete with new gasket, in position and secure it using the bolt.

- Connect the hoses to the water pump rigid inlet pipe and tighten the bands.
