OPERATIONS

4110A10 - STEERING WHEEL - R+R. FOR REPL. OR CHECKS

Removal

  • Open the engine compartment.
  • Disconnect the battery(-) terminal

  • Carry out Op. 5550B10 Horn CONTROL on steering wheel - R+R.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connection of the horn

  1. Slacken the nut fastening the steering wheel.
  2. Remove the steering wheel and the horn contacts lockring.

Notea: Before removing the steering wheel, mark its position in relation to the steering shaft.

Reassembly

  • Re-position the horn contacts lockring and the steering wheel in the original position.
  • Tighten the steering wheel fastening nut to the specified torque

Removal

  • Open the engine compartment.
  • Disconnect the battery (-) and (+) terminals

  • Carry out Op. 7040A26 Steering column COVER - R+R.
  • Carry out Op. 5580C18 MODULE for AIR BAG - R+R.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connection of the horn

  2. Remove the steering wheel and the horn contacts lockring
