  1. Slacken the nuts of the adjustable track rod articulated heads.

  1. Separate the adjustable track rod articulated heads from the front hub uprights using the tool

  • Slacken the adjustable track rods and remove them.
  • Slacken and remove the nuts locking the adjustable steering track rods.

Reassembly

  • Tighten the nuts locking the adjustable steering track rods.
  • Tighten the adjustable steering track rods to the dimensions noted before removal.
  • Connect the adjustable track rod articulated heads to the front hub uprights and tighten the fastening nuts to the specified torque

  • Check that the lengths of the adjustable steering track rods are as measured during removal.
  • Tighten the adjustable steering track rod locking nuts to the specified torque

  • Lower the vehicle and remove it from the lift.

Removal

  • Note the lengths of the steering track rods to be used for refitting.
  1. Slacken the nuts locking the adjustable steering track rods.
  2. Slacken the adjustable steering track rods and remove them.
