  1. Disconnect the energising diode terminal wire from the lamellar pin connected to the positive brush.
  2. Remove the two screws (2a) fastening the voltage regulator (2b) to the alternator rear support plate.

  1. Remove the voltage regulator (1a) and brushes (1b).

Refitting

  • Position the voltage regulator and brushes on the rear support plate and screw the two fastening screws.
  • Connect the energising diode terminal wire from the lamellar pin connected to the positive brush.

Removal

  • Perform Op. 5530A10 - ALTERNATOR R.R.
  • See Op. 5530A30 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. WITH ALTERNATOR REMOVED

Refitting

  • See Op. 5530A30 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. WITH ALTERNATOR REMOVED
  • Complete with Op. 5530A10 - ALTERNATOR R.R.

5530A29 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. FOR VERSIONS WITH AIR CONDITIONER

Removal

  • Perform Op. 5530A14 - ALTERNATOR - R.R. FOR VERSIONS WITH AIR CONDITIONER.
  • See Op. 5530A30 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. WITH ALTERNATOR REMOVED.

Refitting

  • See Op. 5530A30 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. WITH ALTERNATOR REMOVED.
  • Complete with Op. 5530A14 - ALTERNATOR PULLEY OR FAN - R.R. WITH ALTERNATOR REMOVED.

Removal

  • Perform Op. 5530A10 - ALTERNATOR R.R.
  • Position the alternator in a vice with padded jaws.
