B12 The engine does not start easily when cold

In cold weather, the cold engine does not start or starts with difficulty and only after repeated attempts. When the key is turned, the instruments light up correctly, the starter motor runs but the engine does not start.

Preliminarily check:
– correct battery voltage
– condition of spark plugs and respective wires
– air intake circuit intactness

	1108	Connect the diagnostic tool (Examiner or other tool) to the diagnostic socket. Check the following: – no errors in the engine ECU Check tappet clearance OP. PROCEDURE 1036N14		Go to Step 2	No dialogue with ECU
				Error detected in the ECU	Continue as shown by the diagnostic tool
				tappet fault	Adjust tappet clearance OP. PROCEDURE 1036H18, and - if required - replace damaged tappet OP. PROCEDURE 1036H50 or all tappets OP. PROCEDURE 1036H57
