CHECK THROTTLE POTENTIOMETER WIRING K94
Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between connector K94 pin 3 and earth.
> 1 kΩ should be read.
Perform the next check If < 1 kΩ is read, there is a short circuit to earth. Restore correct connection (wiring diagram: E7040 "ELECTRONIC CLUTCH")
Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between connector K94 pin 2 and earth.
> 1 kΩ should be read.
Go to Step 2 If < 1 kΩ is read, there is a short circuit to earth. Restore correct connection (wiring diagram: E7040 "ELECTRONIC CLUTCH")
2 CHECK THROTTLE POTENTIOMETER K94
Disconnect connector K94. Turn the key to STOP.
Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between potentiometer K94 pins 2 and 3.
~ 5 kΩ should be read.
Perform the next check A value other than ~ 5 kΩ is read. The potentiometer resistance is damaged or broken. Replace potentiometer K94 PROCEDURE OP. 1820E64
Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between potentiometer K94 pins 1 and 2.
A value between 2 - 5 kΩ should be read.
Go to Step 3 Move the potentiometer lever (complete range). If a value other than 2 - 5 kΩ is read, the cursor is damaged. Replace potentiometer K94 PROCEDURE OP. 1820E64.
If the fault persists, check and, if required, replace ECU M85 PROCEDURE OP. 1820E62.
3 CHECK CONNECTION BETWEEN ECU M10 AND ECU M85
Disconnect the Engine ECU connectors M10 and the automatic clutch ECU M85.
Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between connector M85 pin 23 and connector M10 pin 23.
~ 0 Ω should be read.
End of test If > 10 Ω is read, the connection between ECU M10 and ECU M85 is uncertain. Restore correct connection (wiring diagram: E7040 "ELECTRONIC CLUTCH")
Check the engine ECU M10
