This chapter describes individually all the connectors, listed in alphanumeric order according to the component code.

It should be remembered that each separate electrical component is indicated with a specific code (a letter and a number): if this component has more than one connection, these connectors are also identified by an additional letter in a box.

For intermediate connections (connections between two wirings) The "male"(plug)and "female" (socket)connections are indicated separately, with reference to the wiring they belong to.

For each connector information is given concerning:

Diagram of a connector showing engine fan motor -1 with callout numbers 1 through 6 pointing to various parts including wiring, colour, validity, pin, cable, soldering, and connection block drawing.
Ref. Description
1 code and description of the connector
2 wiring it belongs to
3 colour of the connection block
4 model validity, if any
5 indication of all connected wires: indications are given for each wire concerning:
  • cross section (0.5 mm2 if not otherwise indicated);
  • colour of wire
  • code of connector the wire is connected to and relevant pin;
  • symbol indicating the presence of a weld node(in this case all the connectors are indicated that are connected to the wires collected onto this weld node);
6 drawing of connection block with terminal numbers (pins)

All connectors are shown from cable inlet side.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Almost all the connectors have a protective closure, or "secondary lock", to prevent accidental unmating of the cable terminals from the connector.
Take care to remove the "secondary lock" correctly before removing a cable from the connector.
For further details on opening and operating on a connection block, see "CONNECTION BLOCKS - ISTRUCTIONS FOR DIS-ASSEMBLY" that describes in detail all the operations possible on these blocks and the tools to be used.
