TURBOCHARGER - EXHAUST MANIFOLD - EXHAUST PIPE CONNECTING HOSE - R.R.

Operation 1064A19 · Turbo charger assembly

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

1. Unscrew retaining bolts (1a) and remove turbocharger assembly reinforcement bracket (1b).

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the metal protection (2b).

3. Undo retaining bolts (3a) and disconnect turbocharger engine oil return pipes (3b).

- 1076B50 exhaust pipe attachment to engine - r + r

1. Undo connector (1a) and disconnect engine oil supply pipe to the turbocharger (1b).

2. Loosen band (2a) and disconnect the metal sleeve from the throttle body to the turbocharger (2b).

3. Loosen the band (3a) and disconnect the hose (3b) carrying air between the turbocharger and the filter case.

4. Disconnect the turbo control solenoid vacuum pipes from the turbocharger.

Lower the lift.

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

1. Undo the bolt securing the EGR rigid pipe.

2. Unscrew retaining bolts (2a) and remove EGR rigid pipe (2b).

1. Undo the retaining nuts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold/turbocharger/catalytic preconverter (1b) from the lower part of the engine bay.

Remove the exhaust manifold gasket from from the studs on the cylinder head.

Refitting

Fit the new exhaust manifold gasket to the studs on the cylinder head.

Fit the exhaust manifold/turbocharger/catalytic preconverter assembly from underneath the vehicle.

Lower the lift.

Tighten the nuts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head to the recommended torque.

Fit the rigid EGR pipe and tighten the retaining bolts to the exhaust manifold.

Connect the rigid EGR pipe to the metal band.

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

Raise the lift.

Connect the air supply hose between the turbocharger and the filter case.

Connect the variable geometry solenoid vacuum pipe to the turbocharger.

Connect the metal sleeve from the throttle body to the turbocharger.

Connect the engine oil supply pipe to the turbocharger and tighten the retaining bolts to the crankcase.

Connect the engine oil return pipe to the turbocharger.

Fit the metal protection for the engine oil return pipe to the turbocharger.

Fit the turbocharger assembly reinforcement bracket.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
