Discharge the fuel pressure using the tool connected to the valve on the fuel manifold pipe.

1. Disconnect the rapid attachment for the fuel supply pipe from the manifold.

Release the delivery pipe from the clips securing it to the bulkhead.

1.8 16v

Removing

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

Discharge the fuel pressure using the tool connected to the valve on the fuel manifold pipe.

1. Disconnect the rapid attachment for the fuel supply pipe from the manifold.

Release the delivery pipe from the clips securing it to the bulkhead.

2.4 20v

Removing

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

-Release fuel pressure through device attached to the valve at the end of the single fuel manifold pipe.

1. Disconnect the rapid attachment for the fuel supply pipe from the manifold.

Release the delivery pipe from the clips securing it to the bulkhead.

Removing

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

1. Disconnect fuel pipe quick release fitting (1a) and pipe (1b) from the return manifold.

2. Release both delivery and return pipes from the bumper retaining clips.

Removing

1. Disconnect the rapid connector (1a) for the fuel pipe and release it from the clips fastening it to the bulkhead (1b).

1.6 16v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side guard (1b).

1.8 16v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side shield (1b).

2.4 20v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side guard (1b).

1.9 JTD 8v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side shield (1b).

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Disconnect the front pipe from the return manifold.

1.2 16v

Discharge the fuel pressure using the tool connected to the valve on the fuel manifold pipe.

1. Disconnect the rapid attachment for the fuel supply pipe from the manifold.

2. Release the delivery pipe from the clips securing it to the bulkhead.

Release the air conditioning system pipe from the bracket on the alternator.

-Release fuel pressure through device attached to the valve at the end of the single fuel manifold pipe.

1. Disconnect the rapid attachment for the fuel supply pipe from the manifold.

2. Release the delivery pipe from the clips securing it to the bulkhead.

Release the air conditioning system pipe from the bracket on the alternator.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe from the rear section.

1.8 16v

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe from the rear section.

2.4 20v

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe from the rear section.

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Disconnect the fuel delivery and return pipes from the rapid connectors (1a) and (1b).

1.9 JTD 16v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side guard (1b).

1.2 16v · Air Conditioner

1. Undo the fixing bolt (1a) and disconnect the high pressure pipe (1b) for the air conditioning system.

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and release the bracket (2b) from the air conditioning compressor.

1.4 16v · Air Conditioner

1. Undo the fixing bolt (1a) and disconnect the high pressure pipe (1b) for the air conditioning system.

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and release the bracket (2b) from the air conditioning compressor.

1.6 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

1.8 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

2.4 20v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

1. Disconnect the fuel delivery and return pipes from the rapid connectors (1a) and (1b).

1.2 16v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side shield (1b).

1.4 16v

Raise the car.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tank right side guard (1b).

1.6 16v

1. Release fuel pipe (1a) from retaining clips (1b) on the underbody.

1.8 16v

1. Release fuel pipe (1a) from retaining clips (1b) on the underbody.

2.4 20v

1. Release fuel pipe (1a) from retaining clips (1b) on the underbody.

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Release fuel pipes (1a) from retaining clips (1b) on the underbody.

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

Release the fuel pipes from the fastening clips on the underbody.

1.2 16v

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe from the rear section.

1.4 16v

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe from the rear section.

1.6 16v

1. Remove the fuel pipe from the upper part of the engine bay.

1.8 16v

1. Remove the fuel pipe from the upper part of the engine bay.

2.4 20v

1. Remove the fuel pipe from the upper part of the engine bay.

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Remove both fuel pipes from the upper part of the engine bay.

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Remove both fuel pipes from the upper part of the engine bay.

1.2 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

1.4 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the fuel pipe guard (1b).

1.6 16v

Refitting

Working from beneath the car, fit the pipe, partly lift the axle and position the delivery pipe.

Attach the pipe to the retaining clips on the underbody

Connect the fuel pipe to the quick-release fitting with the rear section.

Fit the pipe lower guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

Fit the tank right guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe to the manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

Refitting

Working from beneath the car, fit the pipe, partly lift the axle and position the delivery pipe.

Attach the pipe to the retaining clips on the underbody

Connect the fuel pipe to the quick-release fitting with the rear section.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the right side tank guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe to the manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

Refitting

Working from beneath the car, fit the pipe, partly lift the axle and position the delivery pipe.

Attach the pipe to the retaining clips on the underbody

Connect the fuel pipe to the quick-release fitting with the rear section.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the tank right guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe to the manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

Refitting

Working from below the car, fit the pipes, lift the axle partly and fit both fuel delivery and return pipes.

Secure both pipes to the retaining clips on the underbody.

Connect both fuel pipes to the quick-release fittings on the rear pipe sections.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the right side tank guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the pipes to the quick-release fittings on the fuel filter and the return manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

Refitting

Working from below the car, fit the pipes, lift the axle partly and fit both fuel delivery and return pipes.

Secure both pipes to the retaining clips on the underbody.

Connect both fuel pipes to the quick-release fittings on the rear pipe sections.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the tank right guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Connect the pipes to the quick-release fittings on the fuel filter and the return manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

1. Release fuel pipe (1a) from retaining clips (1b) on the underbody.

1. Remove the fuel pipe from the upper part of the engine bay.

Refitting

Working from beneath the car, fit the pipe, partly lift the axle and position the delivery pipe.

Attach the pipe to the retaining clips on the underbody

Connect the fuel pipe to the quick-release fitting with the rear section.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the right side tank guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Refitting

Working from beneath the car, fit the pipe, partly lift the axle and position the delivery pipe.

Attach the pipe to the retaining clips on the underbody

Connect the fuel pipe to the quick-release fitting with the rear section.

Fit lower pipe guard and tighten the retaining bolts.

Fit the tank right guard and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

1.2 16v · Air Conditioner

Connect the high pressure pipe to the compressor and tighten the fixing bolt.

Tighten the fixing bolt securing the pipe mounting bracket to the compressor.

1.4 16v · Air Conditioner

Connect the high pressure pipe to the compressor and tighten the fixing bolt.

Tighten the fixing bolt securing the pipe mounting bracket to the compressor.

1.2 16v

Connect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe to the manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.

1.4 16v

Connect the rapid connector for the fuel supply pipe to the manifold.

Secure both pipes to the partition.
