Removing

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the variable valve timing electro-magnet.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the variable valve timing electro-magnet (2b).

2.4 20v

Removing

Ensure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal.

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the distribution phase transformer electro-magnet.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the distribution phase transformer electro-magnet (2b).

1.8 16v

Refitting

Fit the phase transformer electro-magnet and fix it tightening the bolts to recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection to the variable valve timing electro-magnet.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Place the distribution phase transformer electro-magnet back in its housing and fix it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection to the distribution phase transformer electro-magnet.

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r.

Connect the negative battery terminal lead.
