1.2 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the vehicle.

Position a hydraulic support under the power unit, gearbox side.

1. Unscrew the bolt securing the reaction link to the suspension beam.

2. Unscrew the bolt and nut securing the reaction rod to the gearbox

3. Remove the reaction link.

1.4 16v

Removing

Place the car on a lift.

Raise the car.

Position a hydraulic support under the power unit, gearbox side.

1. Unscrew the bolt securing the reaction link to the suspension beam.

2. Unscrew the bolt and nut securing the reaction rod to the gearbox

3. Remove the reaction link.

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 1076B50 exhaust pipe attachment to engine - r + r

1. Undo the bolt fixing the rod to the mounting bracket.

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) on the front suspension crossmember and remove the lower engine reaction rod (2b).

Refitting

Fit the eraction link it is housing and tighten the fixing screw and bolt.

Tighten the nut securing the reation rod to the gearbox to torque.

Tighten the bolt securing the reaction rod to the suspension beam to torque.

Remove the hydraulic support.

Lower the lift and remove the car.

1.4 16v

Refitting

Fit the reaction rod in the housing and tighten the fixing screw and bolt.

Tighten the nut securing the reation rod to the gearbox to torque.

Tighten the bolt securing the reaction rod to the suspension beam to torque.

Remove the hydraulic support.

Lower the lift and remove the car.

1.9 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the reaction rod in its seat and tighten the bolt securing it to the suspension beam to torque.

Tighten the bolts fixing the rod to the intermediate shaft mounting to torque.

Lower the lift and remove the vehicle.
