MAIN BEAM HEADLIGHTS - DESCRIPTION

2.0 16V JTD, 2.2 16V JTD · MY 2005

The vehicle is equipped with two high beams in the headlamps.

The high beams are activated by the stalk switch:

- with the dipped beams on, by pushing the lever towards the dashboard (stable mode)

- in flashing mode, by pulling the lever toward the steering wheel (unstable mode).

Main beam activation is managed by the body computer, which activates the beams after receiving enablement signals when the key is on M and from the stalk unit control.

Activation/deactivation information is sent via the CAN network: in this way, the main beam warning light is activated on the instrument panel.

The body computer also manages the low beam maintenance function: it keeps the low beams on when the main beams are activated.
