REVERSING LIGHTS OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Operational Description
The command to switch on the reversing lights is sent by switch I020 located on the gearbox casing.
The switch is supplied by the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 10 connector C) through the line protected by fuse F01 located in the actual junction unit. When reverse gear is engaged, the switch I020 closes its internal contact, sending the signal to the body computer node M001 (pin 5 connector B).
The body computer node M001 controls the switching on of the warning lights located in the left rear light cluster F030 and the right rear light cluster F031 from pin 7 connector H.
The body computer node M001 informs the various control units involved of the engagement of reverse gear via the CAN.
See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES
On versions with automatic transmission, there is no reversing switch on the gearbox, but this function is carried out by a special contact "R" for the automatic transmission solenoid valve assembly L050.
