Gasket - inlet manifold - MPi MEMS 3 (2000my on)

Refit

1. Clean manifold to cylinder head mating faces.
2. Fit NEW gasket to inlet manifold and position to cylinder head studs.

3. Fit nuts and bolts securing inlet manifold to cylinder head and tighten in sequence shown to 17 Nm.
4. Secure fuel feed hose to fuel filter pipe.
5. Connect air intake temperature sensor multiplug.
6. Connect throttle potentiometer multiplug.
7. Connect injector harness multiplug.
8. Connect breather hoses to camshaft cover and secure clips.
9. Connect stepper motor multiplug.
10. Connect coolant hose to inlet manifold and tighten clip.
11. Connect fuel return hose to fuel pressure regulator.
12. Connect throttle inner cable to cam.
13. Secure throttle cable to abutment bracket.
14. Secure throttle cable to manifold clip.
15. Connect EVAP cannister to inlet manifold hose and secure clip.
16. Connect ECU vacuum hose to inlet manifold.
17. Connect brake servo vacuum hose to inlet manifold.
18. Position expansion tank to mounting bracket, fit bolts and tighten to 5 Nm.
19. Fit dipstick/filler tube to pipe.
20. Align dipstick/filler tube mounting bracket, fit bolt and tighten to 10 Nm.
21. Refill cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.
22. Fit engine compartment access panel. See BODY, Exterior fittings.
23. Fit engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.

Remove

1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
3. Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.

4. Release coil harness from harness support bracket.

5. Remove dipstick.
6. Release vacuum pipe from dipstick/ oil filler tube.
7. Remove bolt securing engine oil level dipstick/filler tube bracket to manifold.
8. Release clip securing dipstick/filler tube to pipe and remove tube.
