  1. Fit air filter. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - MEMS, Repairs.
  2. Fit stud and bolt securing air cleaner to mounting bracket.
  3. Fit hose to throttle body and secure with clip.
  4. Position hose to air cleaner and tighten clip screw.
  5. Connect hose to IAC valve.
  6. Connect and secure injector multiplug.
  7. Connect IAC valve and TP sensor multiplugs.
  8. Secure coil harness to harness clips.
  9. Position coil and connect coil multiplugs, fit bolt and tighten to 8 Nm.
  10. Position coil cover, fit bolts and tighten to 8 Nm.
  11. Fit inlet manifold gasket. See this section.

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
  2. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
Gasket - inlet manifold - mpi – Remove engine cover. See ENGINE, Repairs.
  1. Remove nut securing LH cross bracing and remove and discard bolt securing cross bracing.
  2. Remove LH cross bracing.
  3. Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.
Gasket - inlet manifold - mpi – Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM, Adjustments.
  1. Release coil harness from harness support bracket.
