THROTTLE CABLE

Service repair no - 19.20.06

Remove

  1. Remove air cleaner. See this section.
  2. Remove ECM. See this section.
Throttle cable – Remove ECM. See this section.
  1. Release throttle cable adjustment nut from abutment bracket.
  2. Disconnect inner cable from throttle cam.
Throttle cable – Disconnect inner cable from throttle cam.
  1. Release heater air intake duct from adaptor inside vehicle.
  2. Position air intake duct aside.
  3. Remove clip securing inner cable to throttle pedal.
  4. Release inner cable from pedal.
  5. Remove throttle cable.

Refit

  1. Feed throttle cable through bulkhead.
  2. Connect inner cable to throttle pedal and secure with clip.
  3. Connect heater air intake duct to adaptor on body.
  4. Ensure throttle cable is correctly routed and connect inner cable to throttle cam.
  5. Locate throttle cable adjusting nut on abutment bracket.
  6. Fit ECM. See this section.
  7. Adjust throttle cable. See Adjustments.
