ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

Service repair no - 12.60.50

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Engine oil pressure switch – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Remove 3 bolts securing sound deadening pad to engine.
  2. Remove sound deadening pad.
Engine oil pressure switch – Remove sound deadening pad.
  1. Remove bolt securing dipstick tube bracket to coolant outlet elbow.
Engine oil pressure switch – Remove bolt securing dipstick tube bracket to coolant outlet elbow.
  1. Disconnect multiplug from engine oil pressure switch.
  2. Restrain tee-piece using a suitable spanner and using a 24 mm crow foot spanner, slacken engine oil temperature switch.
  3. Remove engine oil pressure switch.

Refit

  1. Check threads of tee-piece for damage, if damage is evident, tee-piece must be replaced.
  2. Clean threads of engine oil pressure switch and apply Loctite 577.
  3. Restrain tee-piece using a suitable spanner, fit engine oil pressure switch and tighten to 16 Nm.
  4. Connect multiplug to engine oil temperature switch.
  5. Align dipstick tube bracket to coolant outlet elbow, fit bolt and tighten to 25 Nm.
  6. Position sound deadening pad to engine and secure with bolts.
  7. Connect battery earth lead.
