Bleeding brake system
Bleeding brake system
Bleeding the brake system is described using brake filling and bleeding unit -VAS 5234- and -V.A.G 1869-.
  Note!
t  Bleeding the brake system on vehicles with ABS is performed in same way as vehicles with a conventional brake system
t  Only use new brake fluid conforming to US standard FMVSS 116 DOT 4.
t  Genuine SEAT brake fluid conforms to this specification.
t  Brake fluid is poisonous. Also due to its corrosive effect brake fluid must not come into contact with paintwork.
t  Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture from the ambient air and should therefore always be stored in air tight containers.
t  Rinse off spillages, by using plenty of water.
  Warning
Ensure that a filling pressure of 1 bar is not exceeded, when filling brake fluid using brake filling and bleeder unit -VAS 5234- or -V.A.G 1869-.
If the filling pressure exceeds 1 bar it cannot be guaranteed that the hydraulic unit is bled sufficiently.
