1.2 8v, 1.3 Multijet, 1.4 16v

Removing

- Open the bonnet.

1. Operate lever (1a) and disconnect negative battery terminal (1b).

1. Open the battery positive terminal protective cover.

2. Undo nut (2a) and disconnect battery positive terminal (2b).

1. Undo nut (1a) and release battery retaining belt (1b).

- Remove the battery.

Refitting

- Place the battery in its housing.

1. Secure the battery with the retaining belt.

2. Tighten the battery retaining belt nut to torque.

- Connect the positive and negative battery clamps to the associated terminals.

- Tighten the nut for the positive battery terminal.

- Close the negative battery terminal fastening lever.

- Close the bonnet.
