REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

Operation 1076B20 · EXHAUST PIPES AND SILENCERS

1.2 8v, 1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Release the rear silencer (1a) from rubber mountings (1b).

- Carry out the same operation for the remaining side.

1. Loosen the bolt (1a) for the retaining band between the rear silencer pipe (1b) and the middle section of the exhaust pipe (1c).

- Separate the rear silencer from the middle section of the exhaust pipe.

Refitting

- Connect the rear silencer to the middle section of the exhaust pipe.

1. Tighten the bolt (1a) for the retaining band between the rear silencer pipe (1b) and the middle section of the exhaust pipe (1c) to the recommended torque.

- Secure the rear silencer to the rubber mountings.

- Carry out the same operation for the remaining side.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.4 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 4450B06 LEFT REAR WHEEL - R.R

1. Unscrew the nut and loosen the band joining the silencer to the intermediate silencer.

1. Disconnect rear exhaust silencer (1a) from flexible blocks (1b) and remove.

Refitting

- Refit the rear exhaust silencer in its seat and secure to the flexible blocks.

Connect the intermediate silencer to the rear silencer pipe and tighten the retaining band nut to the recommended torque.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
