SUN ROOF NOISY / WITH ROOF CLOSED

While driving with the roof fully open, noise can be heard from the sunroof area

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check whether the noise only occurs with the roof closed.Move on to Step 11. The noise is heard with the roof open

1. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

See table S075 SUN ROOF NOISY / ROOF OPEN

2. The noise is heard with the roof open to the swivel position.

2. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

1SUN ROOF FASTENING CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the correct fastening:

  • of the transparent roof panel to the slides;
  • of the full roof mechanism to the body
Move on to Step 2Faulty fastenings.

Restore the fastening of the entire mechanism and roof

2CHECK SUN ROOF CONTROL DEVICESALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Remove the glass panel

Op. 7030B18 SLIDING ROOF GLASS PANEL - R+R

and check the operation of the sun-roof operating devices:

  • ensure the felt pads are present on the central crossmember;
  • ensure the inner trim drive springs are present and correctly secured;
  • ensure the teflon mount is present between slides and rails;
  • ensure the felt pads are present between spoiler and front channel.
End of diagnosis1. Faulty fastenings.

1. Restore all the components and the fastening of the entire mechanism

2. Faults in the sunroof operating devices.

2. Replace the affected parts
