Removing-refitting

  1. Remove the steering column top and bottom shrouds (see preceding page). Undo the hexagonal-headed bolt shown in the figure.

  1. Insert the ignition key in the ignition switch block and turn the ignition ON (M position). Working through the slot, press the retaining lug.

  1. Disconnect the wiring connections and withdraw the block from its seating, taking particular care when passing the wiring and connectors through the sleeve.
