Car immobiliser enablement warning light

With the ignition key in rest position (S) or off, the fuel injection control unit (fuel pump for diesel engines) is locked.

The warning light on the facia flashes at a rate of 1 Hz per second.

When the user inserts the ignition key in the lock and turns it to M (+15), the Fiat-CODE control unit reads the transponder code on the key via the receiver (aerial).

If the transponder code is known to the control unit, the warning light goes out to indicate car start-up enablement.

If the transponder code is not recognised, the warning light on the facia begins to flash at a rate of 2 Hz per second.
