4450A90 - REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT - CHECK WITH OPTICAL EQUIPMENT

The rear wheel geometry should be checked after checking the following on parts that affect wheel geometry:

  • tyre inflation pressure;
  • the wheel rim eccentricity and squareness should not exceed 3 mm;
  • wheel bearing end float.
  • Carry out the preliminary checks on the car and remove any loads carried.
  • Set the car (in running order) on a lift fitted with optical inspection equipment.
  • Check rear wheel alignment.

The rear suspension comprises a rigid axle therefore wheel alignment cannot be changed. If the rear wheels are not aligned check the suspension wishbones and the car body.
