Beware of electric arcs. Although the battery voltage is 12V, the battery can output high currents in the event of a short circuit. This can cause arcs or sparks which can be dangerous to the operator or could be the cause of fire.

Beware of high voltage. The electronic ignition system can generate voltages of 20,000V or more. This can be extremely dangerous. Work with extreme caution on or near components.

Beware of fire. Never smoke when working near the battery or components subject to heating during operation (e.g. halogen lights) nor in the engine compartment when the engine is warm. Avoid burns or damage to tools and components.
